LFW Day FOUR : David Koma & Holly Fulton

I managed to arrive 20 minutes late for this double-whammy newgen show and still made it in on time! I love shows that run fashionably late.David Koma kicked off the show with a russian ballet / swan lake inspired collection.Lots of black, white and pastel pinks with a touch (or two or three...) of gold.Ruffles and perplums were the order of the day.And lots of short flared skirts. This silhouette is one of my favourite. There was alot of mixing of textures with python skin and chiffon... and metal embellishments.I spoke to David Koma a couple days later, he is very shy and modest. He was telling me that he believes only using the real thing. He said  "If it looks like silk, it is silk. If it looks like python skin, it is python skin". I had been asking as the python skin had felt surprisingly smooth. He also didn't laugh at my awful diagram of a godet I had drawn.

And then directly afterwards Holly Fulton.

Nothing majorly new at Holly Fulton,

Urban Tribal looks...
With an Art Deco Twist.
I really liked this leopard print pencil skirt.

Every cloud has a Swarovski lining.

David Koma (on the left) collection was very different from his last S/S collection whereas Holly Fulton's (on the right)was no different to before.
