Big at Marc Jacobs on this baby doll swing coat. The way they (the ruffles) make the shoulders fling out is fantastic.This looks like an overgrown little girl and that's a look I don't think there is enough of. I think the dusty rose pink instead of a baby pink stops it from being sickly sweet.
And teeny-tiny at Karen Walker, to add romance to a shirt.
And they range in placement from all over (and completely over the top) at Betsey Johnson (on the right) in this over sized prom dress. This dress also follows the trend I spotted for silhouette.You really would knock things over in this. Or much more dignified and ethereal at Georgia Hardinge. There was also alot of white this season.
Or the opposite at Karen Walker with just a few ruffles on this shirt. Or a few more ala Elizabeth Emanuel in this Gothic creation. These two looks show that the same technique can look so so different, but always feminine depending on how you use it.
