Sophie Hulme A/W 12/13

I'll probably always have an interest in the work of Sophie Hulme; not only did she graduate Kingston like me, but I did my first internship there and Sophie herself is such a lovely person. I always look at her new stuff. Even so, I think this is my favourite Sophie Hulme collection yet. Each collection has a different theme and concept and the concept is symbolised by a different metal charm building up to a collection of charms. This season the idea was toy dinosaurs.

I really like these giant dinosaurs, since they have a lot of nostalgia for me; memories of building them with my dad or more accurately him making the dinosaur and me getting in the way.

This is the first time she has shown at Sommerset House for London Fashion Week which must have been nerve-racking but really does show the popularity of her clothes. It's hardly surprising after the bags sold out from Selfridges.

The vintage style suitcase is so pretty, but also incredibly heavy. I used to have a vintage suitcase but it was too heavy for me to carry about.

These shorts with little dinosaurs are too cute. I assume the dinosaurs are crocheted. You wouldn't notice at first that they were dinosaurs.

I like the simplicity of this shirt with just one knitted pocket.

Another really simple piece, but really beautiful. I think this is the first season Sophie Hulme has done knitwear.

My favourite pieces are these intarsia jumpers with cute little dinosaur patterns. And look; Pink! I bet that's the first time there's been pink in a collection since the clothes are usually quite inspired by masculine clothing.
