Having quite a cultured few weeks, having suddenly been to various galleries recently. Before it closed I went to see David Hockney - A Bigger Picture at the RA. It was insanely busy, with all advance tickets having sold out weeks ago. I tried to go when it first opened but the queues were just too big. Me and Abi decided that there was nothing else for it, we'd have to queue. I haven't ever queued like that in London for a gallery, only in Paris.
I don't think you were allowed to take pictures, but I had a lot of 'texting' to do as I went round.
I really liked looking close up at all the details and patterns.
I was really impressed by these ipad 'paintings'. At first we didn't realise that they had be done digitally, but if you look closely you can see the edges are rounded. I think these are really amazing, because not only do they look just like all the other painting.
Roll on Damien Hirst.
