Uniqlo UTs

Missed the boat a bit on posting about this, but I was pretty excited about the start of spring for the new line of UTs from Uniqlo. If you haven't seen, every summer, japanese casual wear store, Uniqlo does a set collaborative t-shirts with anyone from Disney to a Japanese patisserie to a record label. (You can read me go on about them about 3 years ago here) The results are usually quite cool. I don't know why they only do them in the summer, people wear tees in the winter too, Uniqlo! This year is the 10th anniversary of the UTs.

The Orla Kiely ones had already sold out by the time I got to Uniqlo. They have some classic Orla prints and are instantly identifiable, but are still quite cute. I don't really consider these collaborations like the ones say H&M do, since they are more like licensing of images and corporate identity than anything else. They also don't have the same hype surrounding them.

These Lulu Guinness tee's, featuring classic Lulu iconography, wont be in stores until 14th April, you can bet I won't be missing out on these, since I'm quite the Lulu Guinness fan.

I like these Hello Kitty (who hasn't Hello Kitty collaborated with?) tees for the fact that they aren't obviously Hello Kitty. Another thing that is good about the UTs is that they are good quality and are only around £15 each. Myself and the boy have bought several over the years and a lot of them still hang in the wardrobe, which is good considering I've paid a lot more for tees and still have them go bobbly or come apart at the seams.

Finding pretty floral tees can be a bit difficult so these ones from Laura Ashley are fantastic. I like Laura Ashley, but more for their homeware since their clothes are a bit mumsy. It's good to have something a bit cooler that I can wear. They've gone back through the Laura Ashley archives and chosen out classic prints.

Uniqlo have 13 stores across the UK but since 3 of them are on Oxford/Regent Street and one is in Kingston (and I know there isn't on in Manchester) you'll probably have to go online.
