So if you read as many fashion blogs as I do, you'll have probably heard of Oasap. But I couldn't find a blog which answered my questions about the company, so I thought I'd answer them myself. Oasap appears to be based somewhere in Asia selling cute, affordable fashion. It's like being able to buy from every asian reseller on ebay at once. I actually preferred using Oasap to an ebay seller as the skirt I order arrived pretty fast, postage was free and they offer a returns service. I was actually tempted to send my skirt back, just to see how that went, as Asos et al offer a really good returns service thats super easy to do. There is also some fantastic 'engrish' on the site.

The website offers HUGE choice, with 3604 dresses alone available atm, although it is annoying to see the 'sold out' stamp on some of the items. I think some of the items are kind of expensive but other are really cheap. The quality on my skirt wasn't amazing but was what I'd expect for it's price (around £20).

I was actually sent this skirt before my blogging break and photographed it then, but I never got round to posting the photos. I don't think it's still available on the website. It's crazy short, but I already knew that because the put the measurements of the garments up on the site. A lot of the clothes seem to be quite tiny, I don't think I'd fit into many of their tops.

I went for a Valentino Red A/W 12/13 look with this skirt which I thought was pretty cute.

Top; Charity Shop Skirt; C/O Oasap Shoes; Primark

I thought I'd share with you some of the other items I'm thinking of picking up from Oasap. Especially those cat tights. I actually can't stop thinking about them. Roll on payday!

Review of Primark Nail Foils

I saw these nail wraps in Primark and thought, since they were only £1, I'd risk it for a biscuit. I decided to try out the Union Jack ones first to support team GB. I have previously used Nail Rock ones, I didn't do too badly with them, but I wasn't the neatest. The first set lasted the prescribed 10 days, the second set came off after a day...

I could tell straight away that you get what you pay for as soon as I opened them. Some were already torn, and a few more tore as I was trying to get them up off the paper.

They tore even more as I was applying them, so some nails have missing corners. They aren't particularly well designed as the positioning is a bit odd, unless you have some major claws (My nails are pretty long) The sizing was a bit odd too, so some nails have a gap.

They got the same little folds in them that I had with the Nail Rock, I think the curve of my nails must be a bit odd.

The one thing I did like about these Primark nail foils was that I could make the cuticle edges really neat as the foil could be removed from the skin around the fingers with an orange stick.

After one day (admittedly my job is tough on my nails, but the nail rock lasted 10 days) they looked like this;

Horrible. And to get them off I literally had to scrape them away which left a sticky residue.

I tried these black and gold leopard print ones the next day, they didn't look as awful at the end of the day, but they weren't good enough to keep on.

Basically, for £1, they would be okay for a night out, but wouldn't last a week like other nail foils can.

Where did July go?

Or August for that matter?

So it looks like I accidentally took a month or so off blogging. I didn't plan to, it just happened, since I had a lot going on. I had a couple of job interviews to prepare for, moved house, watched more Olympics than ever before (for Beijing, my sister and I had to sit up all night!) and actually got to see a few events, went to Brighton for the first time, went for picnics and got a new kitten.

If you follow me on twitter (@nadiacupcake) or instagram (@nadiacupcake) this is all old news to you, but I thought a little instagram (with some linecam thrown in for good measure) post would be appropriate.

1 & 3. Absolutely in love with the Meadham Kirchhoff visual merchandising for Topshop. I must stop wanting to be a mannequin. I love their blonde curls!
2. Hair inspiration from the mannequins in Forever 21
4. Leopard print and floral nails. I'm crap at nail art, but my sister is pretty good.
5. Pretty packaging in China town
6. Whirly chair in the entrance of the V&A. This is art I can get on board with. If you're in South Kensington I recommend having a go, they're super fun!
7. Ballad of... Baby K magazine. My shorts from my final collection were in this magazine!
8. The best dress in the V&A Ballgowns exhibition. You're not allowed photos, but as always I sneakily took one. The exhibition is okay, smaller than I expected and nowhere near as good as the golden age of couture. I think that when they were sorting out the archives they were like 'damn we have a lot of pretty dresses, I recon there's an exhibition in this'. I have heard they have so many in their archives that some just rot and they have to turn so much stuff down because they can't store everything.
9. A picnic on my scooter. When Virgin Media came to sort out our internet, the man saw my (very pink) scooter and assumed we had kids. So he brought in a virgin media themed colouring sheet for them. The bf had to explain that we did not have children, but I would probably do a colouring sheet. I did.
10. Making a bid to eat better. It hasn't gone well.
11. A trip on the new Emirates 'air line' (I think sky line is better, but there you go) Blog post featuring this to come.

But I'm back full of new ideas for posts!

Sorry for the image heavy post!
